The construction industry is undergoing
a transformation with the changing seasons. It is increasingly adopting

and outdoor spaces. Many companies
are taking notice of the increasing demand for skilled workers and are
investing in educational partnerships and training programs to nurture talent.

Safety Tip: Secure Your Ladder
When working at heights, always ensure your ladder is securely positioned and stable before climbing. Follow these guidelines to ensure ladder safety:
Placement: Place the ladder on a firm,
level surface. Avoid unstable ground or
slippery surfaces.
Angle: Set up the ladder at a 75-degree
angle from the ground. Use the 4-to-1 rule: for every 4 feet of height, move the base of the ladder 1 foot away from the wall or structure.
2. Locking: Before climbing, ensure all locks and braces are engaged. Double-check that the ladder is fully extended and locked in position.
3. Weight Capacity: Never exceed the
ladder's maximum weight capacity.
Consider your combined weight, tools, and materials.
4. Three-Point Contact: When climbing or
descending, maintain three points of
contact: two hands and one foot or two
feet and one hand.
5. Tool Belt: Use a tool belt or hoist to carry tools safely. Never carry tools while
climbing the ladder.
6. Following these guidelines can minimize the risk of ladder-related accidents and ensure a safer working environment for everyone on the construction site.
